balanceTo me, there are 3 most important things in my life. They’re people that I love, health, and time. Like most people, I also need money to survive. It is important, but not as important as you think.

Without family and friends, I can’t become the person of who I am today. They┬ácarved my personality and enriched my life. My family is my biggest source of mental support. Whenever I feel sad, I’d feel better just by thinking of them. I joke with my friends that I’m a lonely person. What I didn’t tell them is, that’s why I need them čśÇ

Without health, I won’t be functional. It’s easy┬áto say, but you wouldn’t appreciate your health that much until you’re sick. Trust me, you want to stay healthy. Eat healthily and exercise regularly. One of the worst ways of dying is dead from preventable illness. Start taking a 5-minute walk each day, you’ll find life is so much more grateful.

Without time, you’ll live your life like in a prison. By “time”, I actually mean “free” time. The time you wasted browsing the internet, rewatching the same movie, or doing something you already regret of doing it. You could have hung out with friends, read a book, or started something you wanted to do for a long time.

Now let me ask you a question: “Why do you work?” This question is easy for most people. Yes, for “money”. But why do you need this thing called “money”? To buy stuff we need and want. So we can not just survive, but also enjoy our lives.

At the end of the day, money is just a medium to exchange your time and energy for things that are important in your life. To work, it’s unavoidable that you have to exchange some of your time for money. But don’t put all of your time into work.

Even if you have to work a lot, at least free up your mind from work and fully commit to your family and friends when you’re with them.

Good night New York!
